As for religion what I can guaranty, is what ever fallows this reality will not be like anything we could have ever imagined. And if our love ones should be there, they will not be recognizable to us. So hold dearly those you love today. As for judgement day there will be none just a quite, realization of our mortality. For when we shed our mortal skin we leave behind all the emotional baggage that it contains our hopes our dreams and of course our demons.
Religion was born out of human desperation and need to justify a life full of uncertainty and hardship. It was to grant forgiveness for our transgressions in this reality, while promising redemption in the next. It was to act as a kind of transportation hub transporting our conscious awareness beyond the physical boundaries of our mortal existence. And freeing us from the judgmental inadequacies of our emotional disfunction.
