The Narrative Photographer

When photography is practiced in its traditional role it represents a Narrative depiction of an existing time and place. Where the practitioner or photographer plays a supporting role in the operation of the camera and the composition of the scene. Here the photographer is an observer of life, viewing it thru the tiny window of the cameras view finder. Thru which the photographer records the most dramatic and most common events of life. Where the recording of each image is a rehearsal, in preparation of the next. So that when the moment of inspiration appears it is met with anticipation rather then surprise.
