I see reincarnation as a continuing stream of conscious awareness accorded by our physical reality. Where upon we shed our physical identity in one reality. Our physical awareness is transported immediately and reinserted into another reality. This reality does not only have to be in the future, but in any of the existing realities past, present, or future. Our exit from the reality does not end the reality it only ends our participation in it at that juncture.
