AI is like photography on acid where the trip pin becomes a physical reality. Where the physical need to record an existing reality has been replaced by creative word prompts an algorithms, that search a multitude of existing visual platforms for its prey. That it then devours, cannibalizes and regurgitates as visual representation of the verbal directive, with out any regard to the possibility of it being the intellectual property of another artist. It is my opinion that AI dependency on existing visual content, that is not exclusive or proprietary to AI is what brings into question its credibility. So does AI represent art? I would have to answer yes, since it does meet the criteria of what art is, the inspiration and imagination of human emotion, that is transitioned into a physical reality. If however at some time AI should become independent of human involvement, and is capable of generating its own original material. Then AI will become a representation of itself. And not the byproduct of human intent.
